Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, which is sometimes also referred to as Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Syndrome (CFIDS) or Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (M.E. or ME), is an illness characterized by prolonged, devastating fatigue and other symptoms, such as sleep disruptions. Fibromyalgia is a chronic disorder also characterized by the devastating fatigue and weakness associated with Chronic Fatigue; however, its symptoms can also include muscle tenderness and spasms, sleep disturbances, irritable bowel syndrome, and other body disturbances. Coping with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS, CFIDS) and Fibromyalgia makes it difficult to maintain a social life and network of friends. Not only are we sick and tired, we are often left or forced by our symptoms to remain at home alone. Studies done by Carnegie Mellon University and the American Heart Association concluded that social isolation and loneliness can impair the immune system. Conversely, a social support system may actually strengthen the immune system.

Most people are familiar with the foaming action that occurs when hydrogen peroxide it put on an open cut or sore.
