A Laundry System that Lets You Do Your "Dry Cleaning" at Home

Many with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia must also cope with Multiple Chemical Sensitivities (MCS), allergies, or other sensitivities. That makes traditional dry cleaning out of the question: Those affected simply cannot tolerate the chemicals used to clean the clothes.

Dry cleaning sheets meant to be used in the clothes dryer aren’t a solution either because of the adverse odors and perfume aromas that linger on the clothes.

The new Siemens ultraSense laundry system may provide a workable alternative. The laundry system consists of two high-tech machines: The ultraSense washer that uses digital sensors and interacting technologies to customize the wash cycle for clothes including delicates such as mohair, cashmere, and silk and an ultraSense electric or gas dryer.
