Things to Help You Keep Better Sleep

With the stresses of everyday life, getting your sleep can be difficult in the best of times. When you must also try to get a good night's sleep while you're coping with a chronic illness, it can seem downright impossible.

There often aren't any easy answers to how you can get better sleep, but there are some things that can help improve your chances that you will get better sleep.

Some of those things that will help improve your chances of getting better sleep are common sense, like:

  • Avoid caffeine close to bedtime
  • Do not eat or drink liquids too close to bedtime
  • Eat your "heaviest" meal earlier in the day

Gel moves with the skin, not against it, to reduce pressure and shear, the two leading causes of pressure sores. Unlike liquid gel cushions, the Akton polymer does not migrate, depleting its quality and jeopardizing a person's skin integrity. Provides pressure and shear reduction that requires no pumps, electricity or special training to use. Easy to clean with standard disinfectant. It will not support microbiological growth, and it won't absorb body fluids or odors Available in varying sizes and thickness to accommodate individual needs.
