Acknowledging One of the Web's Best
"Acknowledgements"
I'm a firm believer in giving credit where credit is due. Thanks to a
heads-up from one of my
online friends, I found a site that does a great job in the "giving credit"
department.
The Best of Minneapolis'
The Miracle of Garlic page has lots of interesting information about
the natural healing powers of garlic. But, once you've read about garlic, don't
stop there! Scroll down and you'll read: "The information for this web site was
adapted from the placemats used at
Mayslack's Restaurant and Polka Lounge, Minneapolis, Minnesota -- home of
the world famous roast beef sandwich."
Those placemats have now placed first place in today's informal
acknowledgement awards!
Newest additions:
The Drugs I Need... (Progenitorivox by SquabbMerlCo) Animation/Song
An animation created by the Animation Farm and Austin Lounge for the Consumers
Union about the recent drug recalls and less-than-full disclosure concerns.

The
Blue Rose Bouquet
In
my (not so) humble opinion, this online magazine publishes some of the best humor
written today. Visit the fiction, nonfiction, and humor links. |

DAVE
BARRY
The Miami Herald maintains an archive of Dave Barry's hilarious columns.
(Because he has a few years on even me, I can say that I grew up on Dave Barry's
humor -- and feel like I am the grownup here when I read him, too.)

THE
TOP 5 LIST
So
what if he can't count? Chris White moderates one of the best humor lists out
there. (I say this even though I've failed to make the final cut the times I
qualified as an auditioning finalist.) |

DILBERT
What
better way to zone out than to visit one of the Dilbert zones?
His books are must- have's for your humor therapy program! Some suggested titles
are:
The Dilbert Future : Thriving on Business Stupidity in the 21st Century
Don't
Step in the Leadership |

The
Art of
Sandy Huffaker
Okay,
so his stuff isn't what you normally think of when you think of cartoons. But
one visit to his "Stock (Cartoon & Fine Art)" site and I think
you, too, will be hooked. His "Men Sharing Feelings" is a classic, I
think "awwww" every time I see "love," and his is the only
"Clinton" I truly love. |
